Our Women’s Ministries endeavors to create an atmosphere where women can realize spiritual maturity and fellowship, develop their leadership skills, and minister in the local church, their community and the world.
Beginning in January, the Women on Mission will be meeting on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Calvin Long Fellowship Hall. This fellowship time is open to all women. There will be a short meeting followed by refreshments.
Women are encouraged to accept their responsibility as women of God who will offer themselves as living sacrifices, acceptable and pleasing to God; be devoted to one another in love, honoring one another above themselves; serve God and their church with zeal, keeping their spiritual fervor; joyfully hope; be patient in affliction and faithful in prayer; share with God’s people who are in need; and practice hospitality. The verses found in Romans 12:1, 10-13 are the foundations for these aspirations.
The Women's Ministry Cookbook, highlighting some pretty amazing creations from the kitchens of our members, is available. Please contact any member of the Maranatha Sunday School class to purchase your copy of the cookbook. It is on sale for $15.00 and all proceeds go to the Mission work of the Marantha Sunday School class.
